DIY: Clean those Converse

Really kicking myself because I left my white Converse sit in my closet for over a year. Why? because they were too dirty to wear.  Yes, they were unwearable to my eyes and others who told me “Either you need a new pair or you need to clean those…they look bad!”

I knew there were many ways to get them cleaned, just didn’t realize how easy it was.  So the other day, I said today is the day.  It seriously took me 5 minutes, if that, to mix the concoction, and 10 minutes to scrub both shoes – total of 15 minutes! I set them to dry, and I had a clean pair of chucks the next morning….and, yes, I was wearing them the very next day : )

The concoction consists:

  • 1 teaspoon of Dawn Dish Soap
  • 3 tablespoons of Hydrogen Peroxide
  • 2 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 2 cups of water

Combine all ingredients into a bowl, soak the shoes with the above, and scrub away. They look soooo good!
